L’esperienza della raccolta dell’Oliva Marina presso l’Agriturismo LaMarina è un viaggio unico alla scoperta delle antiche tradizioni di San Donato Val di Comino. Situata nella contrada San Paolo, questa attività ti permette di immergerti nella magia della raccolta delle olive, vivendo in prima persona un’antica usanza che si tramanda di generazione in generazione.

Starting in early November, participants will have the opportunity to take part in the olive harvest, followed by our experts who will provide all the necessary instructions and equipment. Each step will be a discovery: from picking olives directly from the centuries-old trees grown on the local hillsides to learning about the history of the Marina olive, a special variety introduced to the area in the 16th century and now synonymous with excellence in extra virgin olive oil production.

After the harvest, the experience continues in LaMarina's oil mill, where you will witness the milling of the freshly picked olives. You will be able to see up close how the oil is cold pressed, preserving the organoleptic and nutritional characteristics of the product. A process that respects nature and guarantees a high-quality oil, known for its herbaceous notes, a slight hint of tomato and a delicately spicy finish.

The day ends with a special tasting: bruschetta prepared with the fragrant Olio Marina, accompanied by local products such as cheeses and cured meats. You will get to appreciate the nuances of freshly pressed oil, with its bright green color and rich, complex flavor.
